Many of our wooden items are made from local Maritime woods. We have selected finishes to preserve the natural appearance of the wood and yet offer a suitable degree of protection.
Items that are intended to be used around food have an edible bee’s wax finish. The customer is advised that some maintenance of these objects is required after use. A simple wipe with a soft cloth and reapplication of the finish, bee’s wax or olive oil, will overtime result in a beautiful patina and protection for the wood.
Non-food related items may have a durable hand-rubbed non-yellowing water based varnish applied.
All our products have a refined look and satiny feel, and exhibit an individual personality intended to be nurtured and enjoyed for a long time.
